Here is a puzzle which reveals all the past winners of football’s European Champions League and its former name, the European Cup.

This might not be so difficult for football fanatics, but will be much trickier for those who are not. It could be used for a range of levels from elementary to upper intermediate and could last between 15 and 30 minutes.

In order to fill in the word puzzle with the names of past winners of the trophy there is a a letter grid containing all the hidden answers. In addition the puzzle also reveals the name of the player who has made most appearances and scored most goals in this competition.
